Hanish Babu, MD is a Dermatologist and Venereologist, stress management trainer, web editor, and author. He is especially interested in psychodermatology and has been conducting stress management seminars for his patients, including those suffering from psoriasis, since 1987. Experience Dr.Hanish Babu Started his practice in 1983, first as a general physician and then as a specialist dermatologist since 1989. He worked as a general physician among the poor tribals of Wayanad in the southern Indian state of Kerala from 1983 to 1989. As a dermatologist, Dr.Babu has come across all forms of skin diseases in his busy practice. His patients belong to all nationalities and cultures. He is an avid educator and spends quality time with his patients both in his consultancy and during the group therapy sessions he conducts for psychodermatoses like psoriasis, urticaria, eczema, neurodermatitis etc. He is specially interested in research and management of acne as an acne physician and dermatologist. He had been managing a web site on skin care and answering queries from patients around the globe on skin diseases in general and stress management since 1997. He has also published a number of articles on skin care and skin diseases both online and offline. As an acne physician, he also manages a web site on best-treatment-for-acne.com. Education Dr.Hanish Babu qualified for his medical degree (MBBS) in 1983 from Govt.Medical College, Nagpur, one of the oldest and largest medical colleges of Central India. After doing his stint as a GP for 6 years, he took his masters degree(MD) in Dermatology and Venereology from JJM Medical College, Davangere, Karnataka under Prof.Siddappa, one of the doyens of Dermatology in India. He has received training in hypnotherapy and stress management and also holds a Diploma in Advanced Stress Management.
